Highlight of the Summer?

Our roof is being replaced today after some storm damage back a few months ago. The work started promptly at 7am. The boys couldn't take their eyes off the ladders going up and the falling shingles. They were so distracted, I could barely get them to eat breakfast. Well, the noise was too much for me. We quickly showered and were out of the house by 8:30am. We ran errands all over town: made a stop by school, picked up Sam's soccer uniform, had a headlight replaced at Honda, picked up some items on Sam's teacher's wish list, and ate lunch. I thought for sure the work would be done or close to it. No such luck! :( Our whole yard looks like a tornado hit or a bomb....yikes! The noise is horrendous, yet my sleepy heads had no trouble slipping off into dreamland. The dog on the other hand is going BONKERS. It took me 45 minutes to clean up his scaredy cat mess. Oh I pray I only have to clean up after him once today and that the noise stops soon. On the bright side, our roof will look marvelous in a few more hours and my little sweeties got a nap in today. :)
