A Character Experiment

The boys and I were completing an activity for their character education this afternoon...one of the fun and exciting things we've picked up this summer. Our topic this week...self-control. Some neighbor friends joined our little lesson. We discussed shaking up the bottle, kinda like life shakes us up sometimes, and what happens if we let ourselves explode. What a mess! We also talked about not holding in the things that shake us up too. We used club soda and tonic water, which didn't quite provide the explosion Sam was anticipating. We may have a redo with sticky soda soon. All in all, it was visual, it was fun, and the boys enjoyed playing with their friends.

Last Day of 1st Grade

Honors Program

Sam's 1st Grade Honors Program was today. It's hard to believe this school year is coming to an end! Sam's teacher has lots of fun activities planned for the rest of the week. We are definitely looking forward to summer break! :)
