T-Ball Championship

Thursday was a marathon kind of day. We went swimming earlier in the day, which totally wore us all out. We thought about sitting out of the last night of vbs, but we sucked it up and went anyway. I'm so glad we went because it was probably one of the best nights of all. We had a snow machine that both the children and adults loved. :) While at vbs, I was told our 6pm game at been moved to 8pm. If Sam didn't show up, we would have to forfeit the game. Ugh! I was not prepared for this at all. This would require us to leave vbs a few moments earlier than normal. Not a big deal, but I had none of Sam's t-ball stuff and there was no time to go home. Nick had to work late and he had a game himself after that. So, this organized mama had to take a deep breath and let go of all that. We borrowed a jersey and glove from a teammate's sibling and a hat from the coach. Another parent got masking tape and changed the 2 on Sam's jersey to 21...as to not have two number 2's on the team. Sweet Sam ran faster than he's ever run regardless of the crocs he was wearing.....Ha! I had to take another deep breath when our game was delayed 40 minutes. Thank goodness my sister Melissa was there to help me with Drew. We left the ballpark @ 10pm! Showers were a must when we got home, so bedtime ended up right before 11pm! Holy moly.....is that a marathon of a day or what?!
