Totally Off

So we weighed Drew this morning and he is an ounce shy of 18 pounds. I thought he was closer to 16 pounds. We also measured him and he is 27 inches long. At 7 months, Sam was the same length but 2 pounds heavier. Ha!
Our little comedian, aka Sam, weighed 43 pounds today and is 44 inches tall. He is doing well in school. He loves his new teacher. She is both kind and gentle with him. Sam's vocabulary surprises us daily. He has appropriately used words like resourceful, appropriate, and purposeful to name a few. He is definitely a smart boy. His teacher has been impressed by the questions Sam asks and the connections he makes at school. For example, his class listened to a story written by Eric Carle. Before saying who the author was, Sam named the author just by recognizing the name on the cover and then went onto name several other books written by him. By the way, this was not a book we have ever read to Sam. Interesting huh!
We are looking forward to a restful day today.  :)
