A Year and a Half
This has been a fun filled weekend. Friday night we met Nana and Pop at a restaurant and ate catfish. Yum yum! We even saw our neighbors there. What a surprise! Saturday morning we ate pancakes for breakfast and burgers for lunch. Then we went to the park. the weather was just beautiful! Too bad we didn't have a camera. Sam had a blast sliding down slides and swinging on swings. I think his favorite was the rocky horses. We sure hated saying bye to Nana and Pop. New this weekend....Sam blows kisses and says bye all together. Super cute! This morning, we woke up and enjoyed some breakfast together. Man was it nice not having to rush around. Then we all got to work straightening the house. Sam has quite a bit of toys here at the house. Some he plays with, but most of them just junk up the place. (Ask Nana and Pop, they can attest.) Anyway, we bagged and labeled all of Sam's toys. Some went to the attic permanently....well, until another baby comes along. Other toys went to a special place in the attic where we will rotate toys. We are not sure how often toys will come down from the attic . I guess we will play that part by ear. Anyway, our house looks great. There are not enough toys down here to make a huge mess. Little messes are fine, because Sam is starting to clean up on his own. After Sam had a nap, we headed to the store in search of a new kickball. Then it was off to McDonald's or Donal's as Sam calls it. It was the highlight of our day. We didn't use a highchair or booster seat....Sam sat and ate with us like a big boy. After lunch, we were off to the park to try out the new ball. Sam kicked it a bit, but was more interested in picking it up and running. When we got home, Daddy and Sammy took a nap while Mommy caught up on all her shows. :) Now that the weather is cooling down, we hope to have more weekends like this one. Sam loves being outdoors. It is so hard to believe that our Little Sam is growing up. He is growing into a little boy before our eyes.
