Doing New Things Everyday

Tonight we went to the park after dinner. The weather today was just gorgeous. Our trip wore Sam out. He could barely manage to stay awake through his bath. Sweet boy!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Riding horses with Mommy.

Sliding down the slide.

Hold on Sammy.

Sammy and Mommy in Nashville last weekend.

Visiting with Aunt Jes in Nashville. {that's Jes with one "s" :)}

True story: Last week I was getting dinner ready and Sam was playing around the house. I went to check on him and he had turned on the tv....nothing new for him. What was so funny is he switched channels to a soap opera, pulled a pillow off the couch and laid down like he was caching up on his shows. Silly boy!

Sam loves to read!

Hi there....wanna hear a story?

This is a good one.

More pics from our park visit tonight.

Having SOOO much fun swinging!

Playing the chimes at the park.

Is that a precious face or what!

**Note to Self: Never give a toddler the keys to your car and then exit the car to go get them out. Today, I did that and as soon as I closed my door, I hear the car beeping. I gave my keys to Sam and then he proceeded to lock me out as I was walking around the car to get him out. Thank goodness we were in the garage and all I had to do was run in and get the spare. Lesson learned! Won't be doing that again.

Also new...Sam does not cry when we drop him off for school. There for a while, he would not cry for Nick. He would however cling to me as I dropped him off. Well, that all changed a few weeks ago. I dropped him off one Friday and he didn't make a noise. We used to have to put him in the arms of his teacher. Not any more....we put him down and he's off to explore. Thank goodness he is finally used to going to school. He comes home everyday saying or doing something new. He will wiggle his finger and say no-no. He still loves music. Every Thursday he goes to Kinder Music. His teacher said it is so fun to watch how much he loves playing instruments, listening to music, and dancing. Too cute.

This has been a fun filled weekend. Friday night we met Nana and Pop at a restaurant and ate catfish. Yum yum! We even saw our neighbors there. What a surprise! Saturday morning we ate pancakes for breakfast and burgers for lunch. Then we went to the park. the weather was just beautiful! Too bad we didn't have a camera. Sam had a blast sliding down slides and swinging on swings. I think his favorite was the rocky horses. We sure hated saying bye to Nana and Pop. New this weekend....Sam blows kisses and says bye all together. Super cute! This morning, we woke up and enjoyed some breakfast together. Man was it nice not having to rush around. Then we all got to work straightening the house. Sam has quite a bit of toys here at the house. Some he plays with, but most of them just junk up the place. (Ask Nana and Pop, they can attest.) Anyway, we bagged and labeled all of Sam's toys. Some went to the attic permanently....well, until another baby comes along. Other toys went to a special place in the attic where we will rotate toys. We are not sure how often toys will come down from the attic . I guess we will play that part by ear. Anyway, our house looks great. There are not enough toys down here to make a huge mess. Little messes are fine, because Sam is starting to clean up on his own. After Sam had a nap, we headed to the store in search of a new kickball. Then it was off to McDonald's or Donal's as Sam calls it. It was the highlight of our day. We didn't use a highchair or booster seat....Sam sat and ate with us like a big boy. After lunch, we were off to the park to try out the new ball. Sam kicked it a bit, but was more interested in picking it up and running. When we got home, Daddy and Sammy took a nap while Mommy caught up on all her shows. :) Now that the weather is cooling down, we hope to have more weekends like this one. Sam loves being outdoors. It is so hard to believe that our Little Sam is growing up. He is growing into a little boy before our eyes.

Crazy, Sam is Almost 18 Months!

Helping Daddy mow the grass. Look how good our grass looks! (It never looks that good.)

Poor buddy was sick. Look at his poor nose and eyes. :(
Can you tell he's breathing out of his mouth.

Playing with his most favorite "non-toy" ....the remote control.

Still has the control...and moving the chairs around.

Fixing to go to bed.

Look how big Sam looks snuggling his Daddy!

Making cole slaw with Mommy.

What a big boy helper!

More Mamma, more. :)

=============================================
Sam will turn 18 months on Monday! Wow! Nick took him to the doctor on Wednesday for a sinus infection. He got some antibiotics and generic zyrtec. Sam weighs about 30 pounds and he is about 33-34 inches. He got to spend Wednesday at Grandmother and Granddad's house where he visited with Aunt Debbie, Aunt Melissa, and Aunt Jessica. He had a lot of fun. He was back at school again today. Uncle Mark came over to spend the night tonight. Our camera is out of memory or I would have included a picture Sam and him. Nana and Pop are coming in tomorrow night around dinner time. I know they can't wait to see little man. Nick and I are looking forward to the long weekend.
