Spring at Lichterman
It was a bit chilly as we hiked at Lichterman today. Jackets definitely felt good. We had a hard time getting around the lake today because there were lots of geese protecting their nests. We took lots of detours and tried our best to stay out of their way. We got cornered between two groups of geese at one point, and I had to pick up a stick to protect my babies. I had to just make a lot more noise than them and let them know they had better back up and let us pass or else. I think the boys were quite proud of their mommy HA! :) We always enjoy our time spent there.
Dinner Adventure
These babies turned into a delicious dinner last night. We LOVE crab...but crab can get quite pricey when eating out. The boys have been begging to go to Joe's Crab Shack for weeks. So I decided to endeavor on a dinner adventure and steam crab at home. I got a 32 quart steaming pot on sale and 5 pounds of crab legs that was also on sale....score. We just simply steamed them and enjoyed the delicate taste of the sweet crab meat...no seasoning packs, lemons, or butter. Now that we own the giant steamer pot, it will make eating crab a lot more economical. Eating it at home creates some pretty cool memories too. :)
Spring at the Zoo (Part 1)
Once the rain stopped yesterday, we headed to the zoo. It wasn't as crowded as it was last week. The rain cooled everything off and made wearing a jacket feel nice.
