Fair Day, Fun Day!
It's becoming quite a tradition for us to attend the fair each year. It was a hot, hot day to go today. Thank goodness we had lots of water and snacks to keep us hydrated. We even enjoyed a few fair delicacies as well. The boys all got a hand stamp for the rides. Sam definitely got his money's worth with Nick and Drew following closely behind. I'm not a rider...can't even stomach the Ferris wheel. Ha! Sam actually had one two many rides and threw his guts up after riding Moby Dick. Poor buddy! He enjoyed getting pushed in the stroller after that. We had our fill after about 4 hours of fun and headed home for naps. :)

Sunflowers
Aren't these sunflowers beautiful! The corn behind the flowers is part of the corn maze we will go to later this fall. We also noticed that the fair grounds are all setup for the Delta Fair.

Sunday/Saturday Supper...On Tuesday
Okay, so a big supper didn't happen on Saturday. We had leftover homemade pizza. It was good, but not too picture worthy. Sunday dinner was good ole all beef hot dogs, baked beans, and chips. We had to do something early and quickin order to get Sam to musical rehearsal on time. Last night was plain grilled cheese with soup. Now the soup was divine...Simple Truth Yellow Squash Bisque. The sandwiches we had on a new bread we tried this week called Ezekiel 4:9. It's a sprouted grain bread based on the bible verse about taking wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt and making bread of it. I've been wanting to try it and the reviews are great on it. We tried the sesame kind. Nick and I love it. Sam did not prefer the sesame seeds on the crust, but he did eat and enjoy the bread.
Tonight, our schedule permitted a more labor intensive meal...even though this meal is super fast and easy to make. I made enough for us to enjoy the Skillet Lasagna for two nights. Score!
