Flying a Kite

Sam had a great time flying his kite at Grandmother's house. Drew enjoyed sitting on the quilt watching.

11 Months Old

Drew Asher is 11 months old! We cannot believe our little buddy will turn 1 in just a month. He now weighs 22 pounds and measures 29 inches long. That's about 2 lbs and an inch of growth over this past month. As you can see from the picture he loves playing with Sam's toys. We are really having to watch all the small parts when Drew plays with Sam. Drew is still eating and sleeping well. He loves going to school and anything that has to do with his big brother.  New this month, he can wave bye bye and say it at the same time. Just today he said, "hi pup" and he was actually talking to the dogs. He gets very excited about bath time and is a bit too brave for me. Thank goodness he still snuggles. As I write this posting, he crawled into our bathroom and turned the water on to play. He looks quihte proud of himself. There's never a dull moment between him and his brother.  We are blessed.

Check It Out

Sam hit the jackpot in birthday money from Grandmother & Granddaddy, Nana & Pop, Granny & Papa, Grandma Sue & Grandpa Larry, and Mommy & Daddy. We just hit Toys R Us and Sam came back with lots of cool things....

I'm not sure who had more fun...Sam or Nick and I. We went up every aisle and left no toy unturned. There were several items Nick and I wanted Sam to have, but we ultimately left the deciding up to him. We were very proud of his choices...some fun things and educational things. We got a lot of bang for our buck...I've been saving coupons just for this visit. Can't wait for Sam to wake up from his nap so we can start playing with all this cool stuff. Happy Birthday Sam!

4 out of 5

4 out of 5 of the Levin boy cousins were together today. Mark, Whit, and the boys came down for a quick visit this afternoon. Sam loved the Ninja Turtles they brought for him. We had a blast at the park. The weather was just beautiful!  We wrapped up the visit by heading to Yogurt Mountain...2 visits in one week! :) We look forward to them coming again soon. Thank you Whit for sending me your pics. (My battery was dead from Sam's party.)

Happy Birthday Party Sam

Sam and a few friends met up at Seize the Clay today to celebrate Sam's 5th birthday. First, the kids painted their pottery pieces. After painting, they decorated bags that will hold their finished pieces. Then they worked on a birthday plate for Sam...complete with Sam's hand print and his friends fingerprints. Next, it was time for pizza, drinks, and cake pops. We finished up with Sam opening some pretty cool gifts. We were so glad Aunt Jes was able to come and help out because Nick had to work for a few hours this morning.  Aunt Debbie and her girls watched Drew while Sam was partying.  What a fun day!

Moving On Up

Drew has been visiting the next room at school for a few hours each day. In the coming weeks,  he will make a permanent move over to the next room. He already knows most of the kids in that room because they were once in his room. He has had a lot of fun exploring everything in the new room. Everything goes in his mouth.  He had a big time with bubbles the other day. What a big boy!

Yogurt Mountain

It has become quite a traditional going to Yogurt Mountain on Sam's birthday.  Check out Sam's feet...we were in quite a hurry to get out the door. Whoops! Even Drew enjoyed YM...we found out that he loves marshmallows! Fun, fun! Happy Birthday Sam!

Heading to Class

Sam brought flowers to each of his teachers today for Teacher Appreciation Week. Does he look like a 5 year old or what!
