This was taken back in June when we attended Julia Merle's funeral (Grandmother Hayden's baby sister). This is the last time we saw Uncle David. The boys and I, along with Linda and her kids, went to Paducah two weeks ago to pray with Uncle David in the ICU. He's with the Lord now, along with Grandma & Grandpa Willett and his sisters Marian and Jean. I will miss discussing Willett genealogy with him. I think I may have impressed him a bit with my interest and knowledge in our family history. He's in Heaven now rubbing elbows with all the people that fill that thick blue book. The Fancy Farm Picnic sure won't be the same this year.

She Did It, Yes She Did

Drew and I stopped by to check on Mama today. We sure were surprised when she met us out on the driveway. Praise the Lord, she is doing beautifully and her batteries are fully charged now.

RIP Uncle David

Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord. May the Perpetual Light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

You Can Do It...

You Can Do It, Yes You Can....that's what the card said that Drew picked out for Mama. :) He kept repeating that to her while we visited this morning. So sweet! Mama is having the batteries replaced in her pacemaker tomorrow. We wanted to send some happy thoughts her way today. I think it worked...we left her with a big smile on her face....Granddaddy too! :) Drew refused to let me dress him this morning. He said that Mama and Granddaddy would have their jammies on. We almost caught Granddaddy with his...not Mama though. Ha! Silly Drew!
