Boom Boom
Drew watched his 1st fireworks show tonight. He was a little unsure at first but then he warmed up to them. Sam is an ole pro with fireworks now. He's always enjoyed watching them and loud noises have never scared him. We were close enough to walk to the celebration. Debbie and her girls went with us. Fun night! We may get another show or two in this year...we'll see.

Fun Evening
We got together with some friends tonight. The water play we had planned for the kids didn't go exactly the way we planned. The rain and mud changed things up a bit. :) The kids had fun regardless. It was fun spending time with friends who have young kiddos like us.

Tournament
We found out a few days ago that Sam's t-ball team would be playing in the tournament tonight. I guess the short notice did not work with everyone's plans. We "won" our 6pm game because the other team didn't show up. That automatically advanced us to the next round of games at 7pm...even though we only had 4 players present. We tried to get more players to show for the 7pm game but weren't able to get a hold of anyone. :( The team was forced to forfeit the 2nd game, thus eliminating our team from the tournament. I don't think the kids were too upset. They still got to hit the ball around while we were waiting. They also enjoyed the snacks Sam brought.
Snuggle Time
We stopped by to visit my mom while Sam was at camp. Drew got some one on one snuggle time with Grandmother.

Silly Kid
Sam came to our room the other night with a tummy ache. We sent him to use the restroom. I thought I was capturing a surprise shot. It was me who was surprised once Sam saw the flash. He was ready to pose. Ha!
Dressing Up
These boys look mighty cute! Sam wanted Drew to wear some underwear like him. Little brother was proud to oblige.

Snapping Beans
Check out this little helper. We're looking forward to having these for supper. It was fun telling him stories of when I snapped beans with Grandmother Hayden. He loves hearing about Grandmother and Granddaddy Hayden.

Last Game of the Season
Tonight was Sam's last t-ball game of the season. It was the best game ever! There was one exciting thing after another. Sam was the 1st batter up and he hit a home run!!! We were so pumped as was the rest of the crowd. I had Drew up by the fence, so he saw the whole thing. He had a big smile on his face. What a priceless moment. The next three times Sam came up to bat, he hit a triple, a double, and then another homerun! Sam was on fire! He had more at bats than anyone on his team. He did get out his last time. What an exciting game! Drew enjoyed being pushed around by his friend. Sam is looking forward to his banquet coming up.

Oh My Cuteness!
We've been trying to squeeze some reading time in after breakfast. Both boys seem to enjoy this. How sweet are they all snuggled in a blanket reading!
