Fair in the Lair

Short Stop

Sam played short stop at his game this morning.  He is getting better with each passing practice and game. He seems to really be enjoying the games. I kinda wish the games weren't an hour long...a lot of the kiddos seem to start loosing interest at the half way mark. Oh well, that will get better with time I guess.  Instead of playing in the dirt and twirling this game, Sam had a hard time understanding his area to stay in. He was a bit of a ball hog. We'll work on that. At least he was eager to play this time. We also have to work on immediately running after hitting the ball. He hesitates just enough to get tagged out. I think Nick and I getting more comfortable as t-ball parents...trying not to take it too serious and such. At times we have to remember that our Sam is merely 5...he's got a lot to learn...and so do we. :) We are off to a carnival at school now. More pics to come.

Feeling Better

Drew is back to school and feeling better. He did require a wardrobe change after a runny antibiotic diaper though. Other than that, our little buddy seems all better...thank goodness.

Easter Egg Hunt

Sam and Drew were so cute hunting eggs this afternoon.  You would never know by looking at Drew's sweet smile that he was sick. He got sick again just 20 minutes after hunting eggs. Poor little guy. We're gonna get him back to the doctor tomorrow.  Now Nick is starting to feel bad. :( You would never have guessed by seeing his smiling face that he didn't feel good either. Poor boys! Happy Easter y'all. Here's to staying and getting well.

Coloring Eggs

Sam and I colored eggs while Daddy and Drew were resting. We cracked more than a few.

Easter Bunny Surprises!

Sam woke up and came in our room this morning. He walked right past some Easter surprises left by the Easter Bunny. He was very excited when he discovered the treats on the table. He quickly evaluated the loot and then heading to Drew's room to let him know there was stuff for him too. Both boys had a good time getting into their Easter surprises.  It's hard to believe this is Drew's 1st Easter. Easter fell early last year and I was still expecting little man at Easter time. Because Drew is under the weather, we don't have pictures of the boys all dressed in their Easter best. I'm not even sure Drew will feel up to a egg hunt later. That's okay, we had Drew's one year photo session last weekend. Today was not what I thought it would be, but we did have a restful weekend sprinkled with a few Easter festivities. :)

Little Monkey

Drew has proven himself to be quite a monkey lately with his climbing. This morning,  he tried to climb the baby gate. I didn't get a great shot of him doing it because I was making sure he didn't fall. He is brave as can be and that scares us to death. Ugh!

Building an Easter Birdhouse

Sam picked out a cute Easter craft at the store. We had a lot of fun putting this little birdhouse together. The decorating was a lot harder than I thought it would be.  All in all, it tasted better than it looked. We even got a little smile out of Drew.

Poor Buddy

Drew has been fighting allergies and congestion all week. He started throwing up on Thursday evening.  We never experienced this with Sam, so we have been learning as we go.  We saw the pediatrician on Friday and got some meds to make the little guy feel better. Getting Drew better has been a very slow process. He has had a very hard time keeping anything down. He's not quite as pitiful today. He basically slept the weekend away. We didn't go to church this morning or go to lunch at my parent's house. We didn't want to risk passing germs along or risk Drew spewing on someone.  Cleaning up puke, washing extra loads of soiled linens/clothes, and changing lots of yucky diapers has not been fun. We have enjoyed all the extra snuggling though. Drew has wanted to be extra close to Mommy, Daddy, and Sam all weekend. He even earned some naptime in our bed...that ran out when he puke all over our bed this morning.  Good thing he's cute. Ha!
