Solids!

We have been steadily increasing rhe amount of milk Drew drinks over the past few weeks.  He is currently at two 5oz and two 6oz bottles during the day. Our plan was to hold off on solids until fall break when I would have more time. Plus, we have Drew's 6 month check-up and I would get to ask the pediatrician all my feeding questions.  Well, Drew seems to be going through a growth spurt and his bottles just haven't been holding him over liike they used to....so we fed him cereal tonight. The directions said to mix one tablespoon of cereal with 4-5 tablespoons of milk. I mixed 3 tablespoons of breast milk with 1 tablespoon of cereal.  This was SUPER thin. Drew ate it but that consistency was very messy. I added one more tablespoon of cereal and that seemed to be better for Drew. He ate almost everything I made with  very little mess. I was quite impressed with his first try at food. Sam and I got tickled because Drew would eat a bite and then shove his thumb in his mouth. It looked like he was trying to push the food in further. So funny!

Growing Boy

We retired a lot of Sam's clothes this weekend....to be put away until Drew is bigger. We were going to hit some of our favorite clothing stores for kids...like Old Navy, Children's Place, Gymboree, and GAP. Good thing we remembered all the hand-me-downs in the attic. We got into the 5t-6t box of things passed to us from family and friends....and what did we find....tons of clothes from our favorite stores! I can't believe how quickly Sam went from size 4t to 5t. We decided to put our shopping trip on hold until another day. We may end up picking up a few odds and ends but for the most part, Sam's fall/winter wardrobe is set. We did hit Old Navy yesterday for some Halloween costumes and jammies. Can't wait to share pics of the boys in their costumes.  Drew is going to be a pumpkin and Sam a pirate. We just couldn't pass on the prices and cuteness. We got both costumes for a little over 20 bucks! I had a few ideas for family costumes but Nick was not really interested.  He takes his job of passing out treats very seriously. :)

Love this Song!

Watch "Rend Collective Experiment - Build Your Kingdom Here OFFICIAL" on YouTube

Sam and I love jammin' out to this song. We rolled the windows down and turned up the volume.  Check it out.

Jumper-roo Time

We got the jumper-roo out of the attic last night. Drew loved it. His feet don't fully touch the ground but he his toes do. We'll probably put a pillow under him next time. I was looking back at previous posts to see when Sam first played in the jumper-roo....I couldn't find the post. I remember putting 2 phone books under his feet. Ha!
