We had a great time hanging out with family today. We ate some good food, enjoyed playing games, and collected lots of hugs and kisses. My parents invited us all over today for one last gathering before school gets started. It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end.

Snuggle Time

Drew loves his giraffe.  He has started snuggling it when he goes to sleep. Super cute huh!

14 Weeks Old

Drew Asher is 14 weeks old today. I just weighed him, and he is 12 pounds and 3 ounces this morning.  Big growing boy! He loves kicking his legs and batting at toys with his arms. It's funny how excited he gets in his bouncy chair and on his floor gym. He makes all sorts of sweet sounds. :) He sure loves his big brother. 

Subtraction Error

On June 25, I posted that Drew weighed 11 pounds and 3 ounces. Just 3 days later, I posted that he weighed 12 pounds.  It never occurred to me that this was an unrealistic gain in just 3 days. A few days later, Drew was only about 11 1/2 pounds. I was concerned that he had dropped some weight and made a mental note to watch his weight closely over the next week. The next time I weighed him, he was about 11 pounds and 10 ounces. I called the doc and they wanted to see Drew. When we went to the doctor on Tuesday, Drew weighed 11 pounds and 12 ounces. The doctor showed me his growth curve and put my worries to rest. I was so nervous I was starving my poor baby. The doctor said Drew may have weeks where he gains very little weight and then makes up for it later...or he could be slowing down altogether. He said Drew was much too happy and chunky for there to be an issue with his weight.  :) Drew has more than doubled his weight since birth,  which is a great sign.

I thought that maybe I had made a mathematical error, but I'm glad we went to the doctor anyway. I weighed Drew this morning and he weighs a little over 12 pounds. I'll be more careful when figuring out Drew's weight in the future. 

Play Date

We had a play date at my friend Amber's house. Sam was in heaven playing with all of Blain's cool toys! Amber even had toys to keep Drew busy and entertained.  Fun times! :)

3 Months Ago

It sure is hard to believe that around this time 3 months ago I went into labor with Drew Asher. He turns 3 months old tomorrow....12:28am. We have a check up tomorrow, so I'll have to post his measurements then.

New Do

Sam got his ears lowered this morning.  As Granddaddy Willett would say....HANDSOME SAM!

Surprise Visit

Drew and I stopped by to see Grandmother and Granddaddy while Sam and Nick went to a movie. I helped my dad plant a Japanese Maple, while my mom enjoyed her one-on-one with Drew.

Sam met Josh and Gracie's new pup, Thor, the other day. Isn't he handsome!
