Food Friday

We spent our morning at the market Friday. I tried out reusable bags. I went to the self check-out because I wanted to put certain things in certain bags. It will be much faster next trip...hopefully. No picture for this...maybe next time.

The reusable bags made getting everything in house so much faster. Unloading was a breeze too, because it was so organized. I had a few odd and end bags I used, but I will probably replace them with a few more bags from the store. They hook onto the checkout area and stand up better than a few of my bags. I've already washed my bags this morning and they are ready for our next trip.

Thursday Was Thrilling

We caught rain drops in the back room. We made a game of it. Our roof will be replaced, but our date keeps getting pushed back due to the weather. Thank goodness for homeowners insurance. :)

Wednesday Was a Workout

We bounced til we couldn't bounce and climb anymore. So much fun....we slept like babies when we got home. Ha!

Tuesday Was Terrific

We had early morning visits to the dentist on Tuesday. This was Drew's first time to sit in the chair. He was a pro after watching big brother go first. I don't have any pics because I was in the chair when he went. Following the dentist, we picked up breakfast from Sprouts and headed to the park. Fun morning!

Monday Was Marvelous

We got the paints out earlier this week. Not sure who enjoyed it the most....Sam, Drew, or me! :)

Sunday Supper 4

This is a few days old...whoops...better late than never! :) We had peppered pork medallions with barley and asparagus. It didn't turn out exactly how we thought. Someone accidentally bought 3 pounds of meat instead of one. How does that happen? I'll tell you how: 2 hours in the grocery store with 2 boys and a mama that are DONE...meat is our last stop. I'm trying to cut that two hours down...still haven't gotten that figured out yet. Anyway, we had leftovers for sure with this meal and we're off of pork for a while. Ha!

This Boy

For months...not sure how many....Drew has been asking to sit on the potty. I think he thought by merely sitting there, he was going to the bathroom. Ha! So we haven't rushed him and let him go through the motions. Yesterday morning, I noticed his diaper was dry when he got up. We quickly headed to the bathroom. His face was priceless when he actually went potty on the potty. He was so proud of himself! He did #1 a few more times throughout the day and he even did #2 twice. What a day! We're not running out to buy pull ups just yet. I bought the biggest box of diapers ever last week because of a sale. We're close to halfway through it. As much as diapers are a hassle for potty training, I'm not wasting one. Mr. Drew will be in training pants soon enough.....or maybe he'll be good enough to go straight to underwear. That would be amazing (economically speaking), but kinda sad as our baby takes another step towards not being a baby.
