1st Christmas Present

Drew and his baby cousin Briggs picked each others names for Christmas.  We got the package today and let Drew open his very 1st Christmas present.  Briggs should receive his gift any day now. Another cousin will be receiving a gift from Sam within a few days. Fun, fun! Drew loves his Sophie the Giraffe!

Crawling Club

Drew joined the crawling club tonight! He's been getting closer and closer to figuring it out the past 2 weeks. I told my mom the other day that I felt sure he would be crawling by Christmas.  Ready or not, here he comes. :)

Check Up Time

Sam had a check up at the doctor today. He weighs 44 pounds and 4 ounces and is 44 inches tall. Think we'll be getting a few shots too.

8 Months Sure is Cute!

Sniffley Lil' Bear

Drew has the sniffles. We took him to the doctor to see what was going on with him. The nurse weighed him and he is 18.9 pounds. She didn't measure his length.  The doc checked his ears. He has a bit of fluid on both ears, but the doc wants us to wait a day or so before we fill his prescription. They could clear up on their own or get worse. We'll see. Hopefully Drew will get better on his own. He was all smiles at the doctor's office.   When the doctor was listening to his heart, Drew pulled on a monkey that was attached to the stethoscope.  The doctor got very tickled because he wasn't expecting such a big tug from such a little guy. Ha!

Blue Party 2

Smurfs 2 just came out on dvd. We had a blue party for Sam when the 1st movie came out and decided to have another for this one. This blue party was a bit smaller scale than the first one. The boys seemed to enjoy themselves.  :)

Hand Me Downs Rock!

We pulled this toy out of the attic tonight. Drew loves it! It was handed down to Sam from a friend I used to teach with at St. Francis. It was actually Sam's idea ti get a toy out of the attic for Drew. Sweet huh!

New Stuff

Drew has been doing several new things over the past few days.
1. Sitting up unassisted for more than a few seconds.
2. Going from his hands and knees to a sitting position.
3. Pushing up on his hands and toes...bottom in the air.
For the past month he has been able to push up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. He also has been army crawling.  He is probably a few days or weeks from crawling.  He actually crawled backwards for a moment tonight...by accident I think. Such a big boy! Drew is also very close to a tooth pushing through too. Lots of new stuff going on around here. :)
