Trying New Things

We've been trying new things in 2017. Here's something we tried the other day...starfruit. It's a cross between an apple and a grape. The seeds are even edible and quite tasty. Both boys are looking forward to getting more at the store.

Keeping Busy....

Nick is assembling the basketball goal today. Keeping these boys busy has taken some effort for sure. He started @ 8:30 and had to taken a little break as a storm passed through. Online reviews said assembly can take 3-5 hours....but it's well worth it in the end. 😕

Finally!

We made these salt dough ornaments a few days before Christmas. It took 11 days for them to dry! 😲 We'll start on them right after Thanksgiving next year. Ha! It was fun to see how the boys painted them. We'll modge podge them later today. Wanted to get the tree down today but may keep it up another day to get these hung. We'll see. 😉

🗓January 1, 2017🎉

We started this brand new year off by heading to church. After church, we enjoyed a brand new recipe for lunch....5 Spice Turkey Lettuce Wraps. Delicious! We gave them 👍👍! Now it's time for a long winter nap. 😴

🕭Ringing in 2017🕭

The boys and I had a lot of fun ringing in the new year last night. We played games on their nabis and sang lots of karaoke. Poor Nick only lasted until about 9pm. The boys last about another hour and a half. Drew actually asked to go to bed. Ha! They both ended up in Drew's bed and were out for the count after we did a mock countdown. Boy were there lots of loud fireworks in our neighborhood. It didn't bother any of the sleepy heads here. Happy New Year Y'all!
