Costa Rica: Resort Wildlife & Vegetation

There was lots of wildlife to see at our resort. There were coati everywhere. They look like a cross between an anteater/racoon. They were harmless, but a bit creepy for a girl who doesn't care too much for rodents. We also saw a howler monkey caring her baby. Also seemed to stay away from us, but a bit unsettling to see when there were no bars/cages. Ha! There were tons of huge iguanas thst I only saw when we didn't have a camera. The trees and plants were gorgeous. Costa Rica is about to enter their drought season. They will not see rain again until May, and all if that beautiful greenery will turn brown and die.

Costa Rica: Dinner Dates

The food was great at our resort. We had traditional Costa Rican cuisine, Japanese fusion, Mardi Gras food, Mediterranean, and lots of fresh seafood. The Mardi Gras party was a lot of fun...beads, costumes, dancing, and lots of fun.

Costa Rica: Mending

Praise the Lord for the sewing kit in our bathroom! I was able to use it to mend my bag. When we arrived in CR, there was a 20 inch tear in the bottom of my bag. Thank goodness nothing fell out if this gapping whole. There was no luggage sold at our resort, and I felt uncomfortable leaving to get a replacement bag, so I used 2 sewing kits to fix it. Nick was quite impressed with my work...as was I. The airline is sending me a check to replace my bag, but I was able to get my things home in that damaged bag. It is by the grace of God that the bag situation didn't completely unglue me. I'll be honest, there were tears after being on the phone with CR Delta Baggage for an hour and not accomplishing anything. I was much better after calling the US # and they helped me in less than 5 minutes. Wow, what an ordeal!

Costa Rica: Catamaran Sunset Tour

Nick and I were in Costa Rica last week. It was a beautiful place, but there's no place that quite compares to home. On our first day, we boarded a catamaran boat with about 15 other couples. The ride was smooth and the scenery breathtaking. Once we stopped, I got off to snorkel with some friends, while Nick opted for floating and relaxing with a group. The water was rocky where we stopped, so it made snorkeling a bit more challenging. After snorkeling, I tackled a paddle board. So fun! We ended the tour with a delicious meal and a remarkable sunset.

This Sweet Boy

This sweet boy asked if we were lost last Wednesday as we drove to church. You see, it was dark because of day light savings, and that was a little confusing. Although it's dark when we drive home from church, we usually aren't driving there when it's already dark. I asked Sam if he thought we were lost. His reply:

"You're never lost as long as God is with you, and God is always with us."
