Lions, Tigers, and Bears.......

Sam took another trip to the park with Aunt Jess. He had so much fun and got to try out a few new things.

All these kiddos (cousins) spent the night with Sam on Saturday!
This is where Sam spent the night on Saturday night(Mommy and Daddy's bed).....poor little guy was cutting another tooth.

Look at all those sleepy heads! :)

Walking around this coffee table is one of my new favorite things.

Posing for a quick picture before heading into church.

Sam got his 1st big boy toothbrush on Saturday. He loves getting his teeth brushed. He always wants to help...so we take turns. :) He'll have his 1st dentist appointment very soon. We'll take lots of pictures of that.
Mommy's turn :)

So big!

On my way to the zoo!
Lions, Tigers and Bears....oh my! Sam had his 1st trip to the zoo on Saturday. My brother gave us some free passes. Sam loved it....Nick and I had a blast too. I never tire of strolling through the zoo. I always see something new each time I go. I think Sam really liked the panda bear and the polar bear. He was able to get very close to both of those animals. The muskrats really caught his attention too. We definitely will be going back soon.
We watched the polar bear for a long time. Sure wish you could have seen Sam's face every time it swam near him.....so sweet!

Elephants

Panda Bears

Monkeys

Sam liked all the fountains and water falls.

Taking a break in the farm area.

Those tigers are big!

Is that gorilla real? :)

Having so much fun!

10 1/2 Months!

Sam is 10 1/2 months old today. Wow, we are getting closer and closer to the one year mark! We took our first trip to the park on Monday....Mommy had the day off for MLK Day....poor Daddy had to go to work. Sam loves swinging. That's all we tried that day....the morning dew was still over everything. We'll have to visit again when the equipment is dry. Good thing I packed extra burp cloths...I had something to dry off Sam's swing.

Long Time No Post...10 Months Old

Happy New Year!!!! Sorry, I have tried posting pictures several times over the last month. For some reason, I couldn't get the pics to upload. Anyway, we had a wonderful Christmas break. It was nice and relaxing and great to see friends and family. We couldn't have asked for a better 1st Christmas for our little guy. Sam is 10 months old...well, almost 10 1/2 months old. He weighs 24-25 pounds and we still haven't gotten the ole measuring tape out for his length(bad parents...I know...busy bad parents). Over the past month, lots of new things have been happening around our house. Sam has cut 5 teeth...and is working on a few more. Poor little guy is getting them all at once! He got the bottom two first, and then started cutting one on top. Not a top front, Sam cut one on the side and then the top front cut. You have to see the up close pic below. He looks so funny when he smiles....funny, but sweet as ever. Sam also started crawling. He has been "army crawling" since he was about 4 1/2 months old, but he is now officially crawling. We thought he was going to skip crawling all together, but we were wrong. Sam also pulls up on furniture and is into everything. His new thing is standing up in his bed. This was mighty cute at first, but now he does it in the middle of the night and thinks it is time to play....not so cute at 2 am. :) Sam experienced his 1st snow last week. It was only a light dusting, but he thought is was cool. We are trying more and more table foods with Sam these days. He has taken well to this. He is great at letting us know when he has had enough of a certain food or if he just doesn't like it. Well, I have a ton of pics to post from Christmas Day, but the library is about to close. I promise to get those up really soon.
Clapping this morning.

Sweet guys. :)

Getting ready for bed.

Look at my new teeth. It's hard to see the 2 bottom ones in this pic.

Snow!

What is that on my pants?

This stuff is fun!

Look how big I look!

Here are some pictures from the past month or so. Sorry it took so long to get them uploaded. Sam is working on his 2nd tooth this week. He is sooooo close to crawling! We have the video camera ready. Sam is getting ready for Christmas. We have visited Santa, hung our stockings, decorated the tree, looked at lights, went shopping....etc. Sam didn't really care too much about Santa...oh well. New this past-reaching for people to hold him....so cute! Sam's favorite Christmas song is Jingle Bells. I will try to get more pictures up soon.

Ho ho ho...Merry Christmas!

Almost 9 Months!

Sam will turn 9 months old on Sunday! Poor little guy had a doctor's appointment today because he woke up wheezing this morning. No worries...just a minor bronchial infection. The doctor had a ball playing with Sam. He said he was much too happy to be sick. :) Our Sam weighs 22 pounds. They didn't measure him....we'll do that when we get home. Yesterday I noticed Sam has a tooth coming in. We were so excited. I have been checking his gums for months looking for a pearly white. He finally has one on the way. :) We had a nice Thanksgiving break and we are looking forward to Christmas. We are very blessed that's for sure. Most of you know by now that I am teaching pre-K. I am enjoying it, but it is a lot of hard work. Sam loves going to Grandmother and Granddad's house each day. I have a lot of new pictures to post. I forgot my camera at home. Hopefully I will the new pics up soon. Oh, Sam is almost crawling. He can move backwards and will soon be able to move forward. Well, he can army crawl forward....just not on all fours yet. He gets on all fours and just rocks back and forth. Several times this past weekend we thought for sure he was about to take off. I'll definitely let you guys know when he does.
